Melting snow on Cypress Mountain could reveal some clues into the disappearance of two hikers this past winter.
That’s according to North Shore Rescue team leader Mike Danks is asking the public to keep an eye out for clothing or gear that may have belonged to Roy Lee and Chun Lam.
The two were snowshoeing near Cypress Bowl on Christmas Day when it’s believed they veered off track.
Danks says crews searched for days, but the men’s families are still without answers.
“We want nothing more than to provide closure to them and to be quite honest, it’s also closure for our team as well because these things weigh heavily on our members; they invested a significant amount of time in the search for those two.”
He says crews are also still looking for signs of 65-year-old Debbie Blair who went missing on Black Mountain in October.
Any information about either case should be reported to West Vancouver Police.
