Bill Wong, Chinatown’s legendary tailor at Modernize Tailors, has died.
He was 95 years old, and passed away April 8.
His death was only recently made public.
Bill, and his brother Jack, both worked in the shop their father founded in 1913.
His brother Jack passed away four years ago.
Bill is survived by his wife Zoe, 4 children, and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, it’s asked people donate to the Chinatown Project Memorial Fund, via the Chinese Cultural Centre.
