In a tweet, Vancouver Coastal Health says there were 232 overdose-related visits to hospital Emergency Rooms last week.
The week before, there were 191.
It says 34 per cent of last weeks visits were for illicit drugs, 5 per cent for medication, 40 per cent involved alcohol, and a whopping 21 per cent not known.
There were 102 illicit drug overdose deaths across B.C. in February.
The numbers for last March have not yet been released.
