Fill up your gas tank before the weekend, that’s the recommendation by GasBuddy.com’s fuel expert, Dan McTeague.
He says the average price in Metro Vancouver started out at around $1.31 earlier this week and it’s been slowly climbing.
“The average price increases in the past couple days has gone up about $.03/litre.”
He says by the weekend, expect a nine cent increase overall.
“You will see a $.01/litre jump from $1.34 point nine to $1.35 point-nine and then a big one come Friday of an increase of $.03 /litre from $1.35 point-nine to $1.38 point-nine. The weekend could see another $.02/litre increase, perhaps over $1.40/litre.
McTeague says the increase can be pointed to a supply crunch south of the border in Washington.
He adds prices will stick until mid-next week.
