With the Provincial election around the corner, the BC government has some goodies for commuters.
The 6-laning of Highway 1 between Langley and Aldergrove will go ahead, with the province committing its share of the funds.
That works out to $113-million, or half of the project’s overall costs.
The rest of the funding is expected from the Federal government.
Work on the project, which aims to ease traffic on the busy commuter route, is set to begin this fall.
