In Kamloops, a hiker is recovering after falling off a steep embankment.
Search Manager Alan Hobler says a helicopter was called in to help rescue teams after the fall around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
“He fell off an embankment that was about 40 feet, he’s in an area called the Cinnamon Ridge, which is in Lac Du Bois Provincial Park, it’s a difficult to access area. There’s a deep canyon, which is a very interesting canyon to get into, but it’s very difficult to access, there’s no trails going into it.”
Hobler says the hiker was not alone, and that the other individual is safe and uninjured as well.
