20-year-old Jaskarn Lally is the latest victim of an Abbotsford shooting.
The Integreated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case after Lally was killed at 2:30 Friday afternoon in the 3500 block of Chase St.
He had succumbed to gunshot wounds by the time police arrived at the residence.
IHIT says Lally was known to police and linked to local gangs and the shooting appears to be targeted.
The suspect is still on the loose and investigators believe they were driving a black Ford F-150 when they fled the scene.
Cpl. Meghan Foster says in a release “this outcome is another example of the risks associated with gang life, and those involved are not protected from the dangers of it.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact IHIT or Crimestoppers.
