She’s no longer the most popular premier in Canada under a “Liberal” banner.
With less than two months before the next election, a new survey shows Christy Clark’s popularity is softening.
However, those news numbers are no reason to count her out.
The Angus Reid Institute’s latest Premiers’ Performance Survey has Clark’s approval at 31%, down 4 points from the month before – a shift in momentum.
The B.C. Liberal leader’s approval had been rising from May of last year…but things changed with concerns about her party’s political fundraising.
Slipping approval, however, wasn’t a problem for Clark ahead of the 2013 election.
Two months before that vote, this same survey pegged her popularity at just 25%, her lowest ever.
