Vancouver Police say the driver suspected in Saturday’s hit-and-run on Victoria Drive has turned himself in after seeing media coverage of the collision.
Just before 7:30 p.m. last Saturday, a 62-year-old woman was struck by a silver Volkswagen Jetta as she crossed Victoria Drive at Williams Street.
The vehicle didn’t stop.
The woman was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, where she remains.
Evidence was collected at the scene, including video of the incident.
On Tuesday, police made a plea for the driver to come forward.
A 67-year-old man has now paid a visit to investigators in connection with the crash.
So far no charges have been laid.
