Inching closer to the provincial election, the B.C. Liberals dropped more than 40 announcements on Thursday alone, mostly towards education.
The government has announced more than $80-million towards school districts across the province for upgrades, supplies, and buses.
But how much of it is new money?
None, according to a spokesperson with the Ministry of Education who says every penny was accounted for in the budget.
The Surrey School District gets the bulk of this round of funding re-announcements with $5.3-million, followed by Vancouver who will see $5.1-million.
Other districts in the Lower Mainland include Coquitlam, Richmond, and Abbotsford, all seeing between $2 to $3-million.
The government also announced $15-million towards trades programs for schools in the Campbell River area.
