On the heels of the discovery of bogus Conservative Party memberships, one leadership hopeful is calling for the expulsion of any candidate found to be involved.
Lisa Raitt says she’s concerned about the election process her party is using for their leadership race after Friday’s discovery of 1351 fake memberships, traced to two IP addresses.
The revelation came after concerns were raised by Kevin O’Leary.
But now it’s Raitt who says the sham memberships undermine the party’s credibility.
O’Leary blamed “backroom organizers” for the problem.
Memberships signed up before March 28th can vote in the leadership process.
