There are no more distractions or delays after a flooding on the Expo Line side of Waterfront Station Saturday.
At the time, TransLink Spokesperson Anne Drennan said SkyTrains were still moving after flooding caused quite the distraction for transit users around 4 p.m.
“Fire is on the scene and are working to try and determine the cause of the flooding. Fortunately there’s only an issue on the… Expo Line side of the platform.”
Drennan says the Fire Crews arrived on scene quickly.
“They were able to finally access the hydrant and once the water was turned off, the water that had pooled etc in the area, in the track area, began to seep away.”
The City of Vancouver says in an email that the flooding was caused by a fire line that broke on private property.
The City says a private plumber has since repaired the broken pipe.
The tracks weren’t damaged.
