The City of Vancouver has handed out nearly half a million dollars in fines to marijuana dispensaries but has only collected a fraction of the total.
It has handed out 1,300 tickets, but only about $100,000 worth of fines have been collected.
Currently, there are 45 shops in Vancouver that are still subject to a fine.
The City has filed 27 court injunctions in total against pot shops.
Since April 29 last year, 42 shops have closed or are no longer selling weed.
The City says there are currently 11 business license applications under review.
