Donations are pouring in for the family of a Vancouver man who died in an avalanche near Whistler on Saturday.
In fact, fundraising efforts have exceeded goals in less than 24 hours.
“Corey Lynam will always be a shining example of a great father, husband, and friend.”
“He inspired people and was a passionate and talented skier and kite boarder.”
Those words, written by friends and family on a GoFundMe page.
In less than a day, the page raised $25,000.
Money raised will go to Lynam’s baby son, Iver.
Lynam was skiing with a group of 14 in the Hanging Lake area of Mount Sproatt Saturday morning when an avalanche struck.
He was found later that afternoon buried under 80 cm of snow.
