A 25-year-old man charged with sexual assault is set to appear at Vancouver Provincial Court Tuesday.
Dwight Travis Wells was arrested by Transit Police on February 11 following an incident on Canada Line last year.
TransLink says last July a woman was on her way to work when she noticed a man moved to stand very close behind her.
As the train approached Olympic Village Station, the young woman was allegedly sexually assaulted from behind.
The transit authority says the train was not crowded and would not have required passengers to stand closely together.
TransLink says Wells was initially released on a recognizance with conditions which include no contact with the victim, and he’s not allowed on the Canada Line or Canada Line property.
