The worst is over from the snow overnight.
Global B.C. meteorologist Yvonne Schalle says there’s still an opportunity for more snow to fall over the weekend.
“Just a few spots across Metro Vancouver overnight and this Friday morning, we have been seeing some flurry activity, even snow pellets. It is going to ease off for many areas. We are still looking at an additional 2 centimetres for eastern sections of the Fraser Valley and higher elevations. Temperatures Friday, with some breaks in the cloud, will be up to 6 degrees. Saturday, the concern will be for the overnight and towards our Sunday, the potential once again to see flurries or showers as we get in towards the afternoon on Sunday.”
Some areas like Surrey, Langley, Coquitlam and North Vancouver, woke up to snow sticking to sidewalks and backyards Friday morning.
