Vancouver Police are hoping you’ll help them find the driver of a silver SUV they say was involved in the hit-and-run of a cyclist.
It happened on the Granville Street Bridge last Friday, just after noon.
A 21-year-old Vancouver man had been riding his bicycle northbound in the curb lane over the bridge.
He was rear-ended by the vehicle, which is believed to be a newer model Jeep Grand Cherokee with tinted windows.
The driver fled the scene, and was last seen taking the Seymour Street exit off the bridge.
The cyclist was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials say that, based on surveillance, the driver would have known they’d hit something.
VPD says the suspect vehicle would have damage on the passenger side, including a broken tail light.
Anyone with information about this vehicle should contact VPD or Crime Stoppers.
