It’s another case of hateful graffiti outside a Vancouver high school.
BC NDP candidate for False Creek and LGBTQ advocate Morgane Oger says someone from Gladstone Secondary brought the nasty comments to her attention this morning.
“The photo reads ‘It’s Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve,’ which is standard homophobic messaging.”
Swastikas were also spray-painted on the school’s exterior.
In December, derogatory comments were removed from Lord Byng Secondary, one phrase included ‘There’s only two genders.’
“Anytime that you put something in print or graffiti like this and people see it, especially for example when it’s on the front door of a school, it makes people feel unsafe. And the message is that it’s something we can get away with doing.”
The Vancouver School Board says it’s being investigated and removed.
