Two major highways in B.C. have been closed by rockslides Wednesday morning.
Just after 3 a.m. Wednesday, a rockslide closed the Sea-to-Sky Highway in both directions at Chance Creek, just north of Squamish.
No one was hurt in that incident, and the area has since reopened.
Meanwhile, a rockslide has closed the Trans-Canada Highway in the Fraser Canyon, stranding vehicles, and stopping train traffic.
No one was hurt when the rocks and mud came down shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday night, east of Yale.
Drive BC says an assessment will be made after first light Wednesday, and it’s not sure when the highway will reopen.
