The victim of Vancouver’s second homicide this year has been identified as 61-year-old Lubomir “Lubo” Kunik.
Police were called to an area of the Stanley Park seawall between second and third beach around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, where they found Kunik dead with stab wounds.
A person of interest was found nearby and taken in for questioning, but no one has been charged and police have identified no formal suspects in the Vancouver man’s killing.
Anyone who may have known him or had contact with him before his death is asked to get in touch with police or call Crimestoppers.
Police are also looking to speak with anyone who was on the seawall between English Bay and Prospect Point between 8 and 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
