A great victory for the Vancouver Canucks, as they defeated the Florida Panthers 2-1 at home in Vancouver.
Goals from Henrik Sedin, Luca Sbisa and Alexandre Burrows secured Vancouver’s victory, with Florida players Jaromir Jagr and Jonathan Marchessault scoring for the Panthers.
Henrik’s goal in the second period was also his 1000th point.
Appropriately, it was assisted by his brother Daniel, and scored against former teammate Roberto Luongo.
Henrik Sedin is the first Canuck in franchise history to crack 1000 points, and the 38th in NHL history to do so with one team.
He was drafted third in 1999.
The Canucks next play the Chicago Blackhawks on January 22, in Chicago.
