The Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association says Granville Street has been going through an evolution since the introduction of some new tenants.
President and CEO Charles Gauthier believes the street has changed since tech companies like Microsoft and Sony were added to the mix.
He says the area south of Robson Street is the most interesting.
“That’s why we’re making the argument that the area south of Robson, along Granville Street, has the greatest potential for small independent businesses. We’ve seen some of them move into the area.”
Gauthier says he expects more offices to move into the vacant spaces.
