We’re learning a little more about two men from the Lower Mainland who were shot to death in Edmonton on Wednesday.
24-year-old Navdeep Sidhu and 22-year-old Harman Mangat were found dead in a running pick-up truck with B.C. plates in southeast Edmonton.
Sergeant Lindsay Houghton with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit says the pair had been on the radar for at least two years.
“Both young men were known to police here in the Lower Mainland – and in British Columbia – due to their connection to the drug scene.”
However, Houghton can’t say much more because the incident is under investigation.
“Police agencies like Edmonton will most likely be reaching out to a whole host of police agencies, and law enforcement partners.”
Edmonton Police say Sidhu and Mangat’s deaths are related to the illegal drug trade in Metro Vancouver
