Carol Todd is reaching out to the online community, hoping they will donate funds to help her and her significant other fly to the Netherlands to meet the man charged in Canada for the implication of her daughter’s suicide.
Amanda Todd’s suicide in 2012 has been a story of twists and turns, and her mother Carol says she’s beginning a new chapter with Aydin Coban’s trial.
Coban is facing child pornography and extortion charges, but not in the case of her daughter.
Carol Todd says despite that, she wants to prepare herself.
“I just feel I need to be there to be able to get a sense of how it’s going to feel when the trial comes to Canada.”
Todd says as his trial nears, the more she looks forward to it, and dreads it.
“Having this trial come up is making it all that more real.”
More than $5,000 has already been raised, but she’s hoping a little bit more can be added to allow her significant other to come with her for support.
