Wednesday is another very cold and very windy day in the Fraser Valley.
Global BC meteorologist Mark Madryga blames Arctic Outflow winds,
“Winds are gusting to 90 km/h in the Abbotsford area this morning, that’s showing up at the airport. Now those winds are wicked of course, the windchill minus 12 to minus 18 in the Fraser Valley this morning. The winds will ease slightly by late morning and a bit more this afternoon. And by tomorrow might lighter winds, great news there.”
And he says Wednesday will be another cold day in Metro Vancouver.
“Well it looks like the cold spell will be at its peak today and tomorrow. Temperatures on the Lower Mainland this morning, minus 4 to minus 8, certainly it feels a lot colder in the Fraser Valley with that wicked Arctic wind. But Friday staying dry, some sun in the mix, not quite as cold and not quite as cold Saturday as well, with some dry weather. And then a chance of rain by Sunday, maybe some snow mixed inland.”
