The former B.C. Conservation Officer who is best known for refusing to put down two bear cubs is now taking aim at the B.C. Green Party leader’s seat in the provincial election.
Bryce Casavant – who was running to be the NDP candidate in Comox – says it was his choice to move to the Oak Bay – Gordon Head riding.
” …I have a history of standing up to this government. I have a history of representing the people of this province as a public servant on a wide variety of issues, including community policing issues and various social issues.”
Andrew Weaver has held the seat since 2013.
It was previously held by Liberal Ida Chong.
NDP Leader, John Horgan, says Casavant will help the party sweep the seats on the island.
