The snow and ice are wreaking havoc with the roads.
One Surrey resident says he’s out several hundred dollars after his tires and rims were wrecked after hitting a pothole.
George Hecomovic says he spent $400 to replace the rims on his vehicle and change the tires.

However he says hitting the pothole could have been much worse.
“I was only doing 30 kilometers and for that kind of damage to happen I couldn’t imagine if someone hit it at 80.”
Hecomovic says when he called the city to report the pothole he was told a crew would check it out.
Since the first week of December, Surrey has fielded almost 200 service requests about potholes.
