The cold snap has been consistent in both Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley over the last few weeks.
Global B.C. Meteorologist Mark Madryga has what’s in store for us into the coming weekend.
“Well the cold – very cold air, in fact, will hang around until Thursday. It won’t be as windy tomorrow as it was last night and this morning in the Fraser Valley. A weather system is sliding down the coast; it’s just going to brush us on Friday, it looks like. Thursday night and Friday, we’ll call it a few flurries, and then later Saturday – Saturday night, it looks like snow moving in before milder air takes over during the day Sunday. We should be into rain Sunday, with a high of four degrees above.”
Overnight, there were a number of B.C. Hydro customers without power in Langley, Surrey and Abbotsford – due to high winds.
The majority of those outages have since been restored.
