If you’re writing a nasty Facebook post, you might want to think twice before clicking “send.”
One B.C. man is headed to court after allegedly calling him a ‘sex tourist’ online.
The alleged defamatory posts began earlier this month with claims the plaintiff had travelled overseas for sex…then bragged about it all over his work site.
He claims his co-worker posted similar allegations at least five times – even going so far as to suggest he was under police investigation.
He claims those posts – false, and malicious in intent – were quickly downloaded and spread through social networks.
And he claims his former coworker continued with the reputation destroying attacks despite demands they be retracted.
He’s asking for an injunction blocking any more posts, along with “substantial sums” for aggressive and punitive damages.
