Another fundraising campaign has launched to help the victims of last week’s condo fire in Langley.
Most residents of Paddington Station condos lost everything and now resident Gary Hee wants to help.
He’s come up with a plan to purchase fire extinguishers at $42 each and then sells them at $52, with the profit going to the fire victims.
“A lot of apartments being built now are four storey high which our aerial fire trucks can’t reach adequately into the centre where the fire is worse, so I figured most residents should have very good high-quality fire extinguishers.”
Hee will even deliver the fire extinguisher.
“Now is the time to help the community this is on a large scale, if it occurs throughout the whole province then I’ve done a good job.”
He’s starting off with a goal of selling ten but hopes that number will grow in coming days.
