Freedom of Information documents obtained by Global News have turned up another set of City of Vancouver papers with a mistake.
They say a developer report could be sent to the Chinese government.
In 2013 the city attempted to trade land with condo developer Brenhill, which a community association successfully fought in court.
Last year the City asked Ernst and Young to review the deal… and in a legal paper, Senior VP Kevin Brennan wrote the report could be given to the China Investment Corporation, which manages foreign assets for the Chinese government.
Brennan says it was an error.
The City says they never shared information with the CIC, and the developer says they have no ties to it.
The Court of Appeal later allowed the deal to go through.
