B.C.’s Premier is in Ottawa for the first minister’s meeting.
Christy Clark says carbon pricing is high on the agenda – finding a price that is fair across the country – but she says Federal health money is also a priority.
She says the feds have offered a three per cent increase this year – she is asking for six.
“We had hoped that we would be having a longer discussion about health with the federal government and we had hoped, I think, as Premiers that it would have come a lot earlier before they were really nailing down their budget.”
She says Trudeau needs to ensure the provinces have what they need to help him keep his election promises.
The Premier says she will also be meeting with Alberta Premier Rachel Notley for the first time since Kinder Morgan was been given the go ahead.
