An international standardized test shows B.C. students are the best readers in the world.
B.C.’s Grade 10 students earned the top-spot in the world for reading.
Conducted by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the 2015 Programme for International Student Assessment, or “PISA” was taken by students in 72 countries, and all 10 Canadian provinces.
B.C. students also ranked second in science, and sixth in math.
Education Minister Mike Bernier says the new curriculum will help students continue to perform well, and credits the “hard work” by students and teachers.
