A three-time federal offender with convictions for rape and sexual assault dating back more than 30 years has broken the conditions of his supervision order.
53-year-old Jerry Dvorak has finished his sentence and is on a long-term supervision order living in Vancouver. This means that he must abide by a list of conditions, including avoiding alcohol or drugs.
However, the Parole Board of Canada has found Dvorak is drinking again to deal with depression, and the abuse of alcohol is considered one of his major risk factors to re-offend.

The Board says Dvorak has a long history of alcohol abuse and it ties to his criminal cycle.
As a result, his long term supervision order has been extended for another year.
