Some of Vancouver’s most famous landmarks could soon be known as something different.
Fancy taking a stroll through Samsung Stanley Park, followed by a sunset cocktail on Disney’s English Bay?
This might some day be a reality, if a new City of Vancouver initiative goes ahead.
The City have asked consultants to bid on a project to develop a list of eight to 10 assets that would be the best candidates for sponsorship and corporate naming.
As well as physical city property, consultants have been asked to come up with sponsorship tie-ups for several award ceremonies as well as city festivals.
The deadline for submitting bids is December 6.
