The body of 7-year-old Nia Eastman has been found by police in a home in Choiceland, Saskatchewan.
It’s the tragic conclusion to an Amber Alert that was issued just after 4 a.m. local time.
Police said at the time they believed the girl had been taken by her father, Adam Jay Eastman.
He was supposed to drop her off with her mother last night.
A police search located a vehicle believed to have been operated by him was found empty around 10 p.m. last night, on a property near Snowden.
Eastman was found dead early this morning, apparently by his own hand.
Yesterday, the cover photo on Eastman’s Facebook page was changed to a skull and crossbones, with the words “leave me alone, I’ve had enough.”
