It was a murder that stunned the community of Cloverdale, a well-liked realtor shot and killed during a break-in at his home.
Now the accused killer has been ordered to stand trial.
It was late on a Sunday night a year ago September when 42-year-old Colin Hill, a Surrey realtor, interrupted a break-in at his home near 165th and 64th Avenue.
In the struggle at his front door, Hill was shot and died at the scene. The suspect fled in a stolen car.
Two hours later he was captured in Burnaby, allegedly trying to break into an apartment.
22-year-old Khouri Lamar Green of Surrey was charged with second-degree murder.
He’s been ordered to stand trial in BC Supreme Court starting later this month.
