An anti-Trump rally is underway in downtown Vancouver.
Well over 200 demonstrators have shown up at Trump Tower in Vancouver to show their disapproval of the new U.S. President.
The Vancouver Police Department have erected fences and guarded the entrance to the building as momentum gathers.
Protestor Jaeme Grosvenor says he’s worried about the environmental effects of Trump’s policies.
“He’s talking about doing stuff for some money now, for a few jobs now, to boost his ego, to boost his bottom line and he is sacrificing everybody. Everybody’s kids will suffer because of this man’s policies.”
Donald Adams says he came to set an example for his daughter.
“Just to demonstrate the fact that we’re disgusted that he got into the presidency and the values that he stands for are not our values and they’re not the values of half of America, so the situation of having him be president is just ridiculous and untenable.”
But it’s not just anti-Trump protesters who have shown up.
A number of demonstrators are also there to show their support for President-Elect Trump.
The protesters have begun travelling through the downtown core.
