Vancouver Police are searching for a high-risk sex offender who failed to return to his halfway house.
It’s not the first time he’s done this.
Darren Wheatley was released from custody into a halfway house two weeks ago and failed to return Wednesday night.
Wheatley is currently on Statutory Release and is a two-time Federal offender who is serving a 10-year sentence for two counts of sexual assault, sexual assault causing bodily harm, and two counts of overcoming resistance by choking after three separate attacks on women in Ontario.

He’s described as Aboriginal, 46-years-old and weighs over 200 pounds.
He has several tattoos on this arms.
Wheatley’s failed to return to his halfway house three other times over the past two years.
