Stanley Park tourists had a bit of a surprise during their carriage ride this afternoon when a pair of horses were spooked during an anti-pipeline protest and veered off track.
Protesters were along one side of the street, awaiting an announcement from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, while the horse-drawn carriage was on the other.
In between, a car attempted to pass through and honked its horn.
The horses were spooked by the loud noise and jumped the curb, pulling the carriage of people into a nearby bench.
Several passengers jumped off the carriage, but one woman was thrown in the commotion.
No one was injured during the incident.
