An Amber Alert for two children believed to have been taken by their mother in Port Coquitlam has been cancelled, with the children found safe.
Police ended the search around 9 p.m., after a frantic two and a half hour search.
They say all three were located at a gas station in Sicamous.
According to Mounties, 36-year-old mother April Pastor-Ruiz is in custody, however she has not been charged.
They say the children will be reunited with family.
The Alert was issued late Friday evening, after police were called around 2 p.m. Friday to a report of a parental abduction from Birchland Elementary school.
At the time, police said they believed there was “reasonable concern for the children’s safety.”
