A deadly Halloween night in Vancouver, where 25-year-old man was killed in a stabbing incident outside the Plaza of Nations.
Sergeant Brian Montague with the Vancouver Police Department says two other people are in hospital, one in serious condition and one in stable condition, after the incident which took place around 2:30 a.m. last night.
“Two of them went to hospital with extremely serious critical stab wounds. Another went to hospital with less serious injuries. One of those men has now died,” he said.
Montague says police are now trying to unravel what happened, and that multiple people are being questioned.
“It appears as though the stabbing involved two groups of people. We’re not sure at this point whether they came from the same location, different locations. We don’t have a lot of information on their backgrounds at this point. It doesn’t appear random, it does appear as though there was an altercation of some sort. We took a number of people into custody, some of them suspects, some of them witnesses,” Montague says.
Right now, six people are in custody, and “are being fairly uncooperative.”
The identity of the man who died has not been released.
