Charges have been laid in a double stabbing at a homeless camp in Burnaby which left one man dead.
It happened Monday night in a ravine in the area of Rumble Street; when officers arrived, one man was found and taken to hospital and later released.
Another man identified as 46-year-old Rickey Melanson suffered a much more worse fate, dying from injuries in the altercation.
A man was taken into custody, and now 53-year-old Samuel James Calladine has been charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault.
Officers say the two knew each other for years and had set up their tents at the camp.
