It’s the first Monday morning commute since SkyTrain changes took effect this weekend, in anticipation of the Evergreen Line extension opening before Christmas.
For the most, the response from riders is favourable, as TransLink moves to integrate the existing network with the Evergreen Line.
“I just had to ask a question to get my way around, but I am so happy to see it expanding that I will tolerate any of the inconvenience.”
“I actually don’t mind any of the changes.”
However, one commuter says he now has to travel 3 stops beyond his destination and come back, adding 15 minutes to his commute.
“It is super annoying for me because of where I live, I live near Brentwood mall, I’m going East, so I have to go about three stops opposite to my usual direction of travel.”
The Millennium Line will no longer travel to Waterfront, instead, operating from VCC-Clark to Lougheed Town Centre.
The Expo Line, meanwhile, will have two routes.
One travelling from waterfront to King George, the other operating from Waterfront to Production Way.
