A woman from Mission has been found guilty of two counts of animal cruelty and sentenced to three years probation after an investigation by the SPCA.
She has also been banned from keeping animals for the next 15 years.
Eighteen neglected animals were seized from 75-year-old Faye Delores Parkinson earlier this year – 11 cats and seven dogs.
In a statement, the SPCA’s Marcie Moriarty says they’ve dealt with Ms. Parkinson since 2008.
She says Parkinson has previous animal cruelty convictions, and has violated previous bans on keeping animals.
Moriarty adds she’s happy the judge has allowed Parkinson’s property to be randomly inspected, with two hours notice.
