The Vancouver Canucks defeated the St. Louis Blues Tuesday night on home ice in overtime 2 – 1.
Bo Horvat scored the first goal for Vancouver.
Blues right-winger Vladimir Tarasenko tied the score.
Henrik Sedin scored the winning point at 1:40 in overtime, while Jacob Markstrom made 23 saves.
Tuesday’s game was a dream for a local player, UBC Thunderbirds goalie Matt Hewitt signed a one day contract for that night.
The Canucks will have a chance to rest before they hit the ice again on October 20th against Buffalo.
