A new park is opening at Yukon Street and 17th Avenue and the Vancouver Park Board wants residents to help name it.
A park naming committee will review the names suggested and create a shortlist for board commissioners to vote on.
“…names give these spaces character and provide a sense of history and community. Currently, there are 22 parks in Vancouver without an official name,” reads a statement from the board.
The 0.15 hectare park cost $600,000 to build.
People interested can learn more online or by attending the unveiling of the park on October 12.
