A former Vancouver Island teacher who was convicted of stalking two women, has been banned from teaching in the province.
In a consent resolution agreement with the BC Commissioner for teacher regulation, Francesco Canacari agrees he will never apply for, or be issued a teaching certificate again.
Canacari was a greater Victoria high school teacher when he stalked two ex-girlfriends in 2010.
The judge found the teacher got a female student to text one of the women, and then delete it.
In 2013 he was convicted of being illegally in a home, and criminal harassment.
Canacari was sentenced to four months jail, to be served in the community, and two years probation.
Years later he pleaded guilty to forgery.
The discipline decision says the conduct is unbecoming of a teacher, and constitutes “professional misconduct.”
