March 5, 2018.
It seems that will be the date the trial finally begins for one of the men accused in the Surrey Six massacre, Jamie Bacon.
Six people were gunned down in a Surrey high-rise in October of 2007.
For months Bacon’s case has heard behind closed doors at BC Supreme court – sealed off from the media.
He made his first appearance in open court today.
Bacon is here in the dock, arms crossed, not taking eyes off the judge.

Bacon was charged in 2009 with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for his alleged role in the mass killing.
Two of those killed were innocent victims.
Watch for the defence to make a move to have this tossed out, saying it’s been dragging on too long.
