Several charges have been laid against two people after a vicious dog attack that took place in early August.
It happened at a park near the Pattullo Bridge in New Westminster.
A man named Earl was walking his neighbor’s Wheaten Terrier, Atticus.
Two people walked by with off-leash dogs.
One was a so-called bully breed, the other a Labrador-Retriever, Shar Pei mix.
One of the dogs suddenly lunged at Earl and the Wheaten Terrier.
New Westminster Animal Control Officer Margie Fox says seven charges have been laid, including ‘Dog displaying aggressive behavior’ and ‘Dog causing serious injury to a person.’
Earl suffered tendon damage from the attack, and Atticus the Wheaten Terrier suffered serious bites to his neck, but survived.
